Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District
The Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District (FFUSD) is an award-winning elementary, secondary, and adult school district servicing an area encompassing over 261 square miles and is open to residents living in Fairfield, Suisun, and unincorporated areas of Solano and Napa Counties. In addition to providing high-quality education, FFUSD is also the third largest employer in Solano County.
The district is home to four high schools, five middle schools, 16 elementary schools, two K-8 schools, and an adult school providing education to over 23,000 students. The district is also home to a number of quality parochial schools, pre-schools, and day care facilities for children.
In April 2006, FFUSD was pleased to announce three elementary schools in the district had been named to a list of California’s Distinguished Schools.
Travis Unified School District
Travis Unified School District (TUSD) offers a unique educational opportunity for children of parents on active duty and military reserve, and serves the student populations of nearby Vacaville, Fairfield, and, primarily, Travis Air Force Base.
The district boasts an enrollment of over 6,000 students, with 43% of those registered as military dependents. TUSD is home to one high school, one middle school, and five elementary schools—all conveniently located on or close to Travis Air Force Base.
TUSD also services the Travis Education Center, a continuation high school for students behind in credits or choosing alternative educational programs for their high school curriculum.
Solano Community College
Fairfield-Suisun is home to Solano Community College (SCC), a 192-acre campus conveniently located next to Interstate 80 in Fairfield.
An integral part of the community, SCC offers Associate of Arts degrees, as well as trade and technical certificates in a multitude of disciplines.

In addition to earning an Associates degree in any discipline, SCC also offers quality transfer opportunities to students wishing to continue their college education at a UC, CSU, or other four-year collegiate institution.
