A Message from the President...

In July of 2010, The Fairfield-Suisun Chamber of Commerce will celebrate 64 years of promoting commerce and representing business through local, state, and national levels. Looking back, there were many farsighted individuals who had the best interest of Fairfield-Suisun Chamber of Commerce at heart when it was incorporated. These individuals realized the importance of having a strong voice of business in the community and a strong presence in the community. We are very fortunate; through the generosity of those businesses and professionals, that we now operate a large building of over 5,000 square feet to accommodate our requests. The Chamber is a meeting place for the business community and this state of the art facility is located in downtown Fairfield and hosts dozens of committees, workgroups, and task force meetings a month.

The Chamber is proud to represent over 15,000 employees in 600 companies. The Fairfield-Suisun Chamber of Commerce is a powerful network of small businesses, manufacturers, mid-size service firms, and large high-tech corporations that help to shape the diversity of the membership. We partner and collaborate with our city, our county economic development, our local schools and community colleges in Suisun City and Fairfield communities.

We feel the success of the Chamber is being able to provide member clients with benefits that will be a great value to the profitability of their business. We also know that it is a different business environment today than it was 64 years ago; we must provide resources that members can use either by participation, or not participating- a choice!

Tough economic times mean being a strong constituent in the community. We insure that our communications to politicians are strong pro-business messages. Being active participants in the legislative process is a priority of our Chamber.

We have a dedicated Board of Directors who are engaged and committed to creating a Chamber with the most value for your investment. This year, the main focus of the program of work is to increase the membership and provide members with more education about Chamber programs that will help member clients succeed. We are committed!
