Attractions

Visit a place that is both fun and delicious by taking a tour of the world-famous Jelly Belly Candy Company, located in Fairfield. The 40-minute tour, which features taste-tests and information on how the “presidential favorite” gourmet jelly bean is made, was recently voted the Best Tour in America by a 2005 issue of Reader’s Digest Magazine. See how beer is brewed at the local Anheuser-Busch Budweiser Brewery. Though only open to patrons 21 years of age or older, this tour takes visitors on a trip through every step of Budweiser’s brewing process—from fermentation to bottling.

Suisun Valley’s Fruit Loop Tour allows tourists an unforgettable journey on old Pony Express and stagecoach trails as they visit fresh produce stands, and local wineries. Families can enjoy a round of miniature golf, arcades, and go-karts at the Scandia Family Fun Center in nearby Cordelia. Of educational interest are the Travis Air and the Western Railway Museums, providing a historical perspective of Northern California’s railroad and military communities. For outdoorsman, excursions such as Rush Ranch and Rockville Park offer hiking opportunities and natural adventures within a working ranch. The Suisun City Marina features boating, sailing, fishing, and water sports; and nearby Lake Berryessa has water activities of all kinds, from casual swimming to jet skiing and wake boarding.

Fairfield is also home to the city’s 360-seat Center for Creative Arts, which is a state-of-the-art facility hosting musicals, operas, high drama, and classical concerts. The Center also features an art gallery and an active annual performing arts calendar.
